2026 LSG Conference – Call for papers open!

The call for papers for our 2026 conference Resilient Landscapes – applying archaeological survey and understanding to holistic Nature Recovery is open now!

The Landscape Survey Group (LSG) provides a diverse forum for the exchange of knowledge and ideas relating to archaeological landscape survey. The group provides a unique space for people interested in researching and recording archaeological landscapes to share their work, discuss methodologies, and enjoy our wonderful landscapes together.

The overriding aims of the group are to:

• Raise awareness of the huge research potential of landscape survey through hosting events, attending conferences, and contributing towards publications.
• Provide an international forum for individuals and groups with an interest in, or who are undertaking, archaeological landscape survey.
• Promote best practices and raise the standard of archaeological landscape survey by providing advice, encouragement, and training.
